This He He Erxian figural group depicts the two Taoist immortals, Harmony and Union, popularly associated with happy marriage. It is believed to date back as far as the 18th century. The base is basically unglazed with the exception of a bit of white glaze on the protruding feet and the blossoms. The robes are glazed in blue and celadon, and the heads and exposed bodies are glazed in white. The group measures 7 3/4 inches high, 6 3/4 inches long, and 3 inches wide. It weighs 2 pounds, 3.7 ounces. The overall condition is very good. Each of the characters is missing the tip of one tiny finger. Many of the crevices, nooks, and crannies hold old dust and dirt. There are no other noted chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. For it's age, this porcelain grouping is in amazing condition. There are no signatures or markings.
