This is a collection of 6 vintage ornithology prints from a larger collection of Audobon prints. This collection was presented in the 1950s by Roger Tory Peterson, an American Ornithologist. Each is 11 3/4 inches by 8 7/8 inches, and each has a legend and description of the particular bird species on the reverse. The images are crisp and colorful and they are presented on heavy paper. The condition of each varies from very good to excellent. There are no tears, stains, folds or losses of color. One piece has a few small holes in the extreme lower left corner (Key West Quail-Dove), and there is slight wear on the very edges and corners from being handled over the years. This selection contains the following: "Great Horned Owl;" "Key West Quail-Dove;" "Field Sparrow;" "Merlin or Pigeon Hawk;" "Gray Kingbird;" and "Long-Billed Curlew." All are suitable for framing.
