This is a beautiful 2-part brooch signed by Coro with the main upper part in gold-tone swirls and round red rhinestones and the second part which hangs with a swinging movement and marquise shaped red rhinestones and large 8 mm simulated pearl. The patent number is 168.047 and was filed on July 16, 1952 by Adolph Katz. It is signed Coro on the back but is hard to see so I looked up the patent number. The color of the rhinestones was hard to capture but I would describe them as a true red, like garnet and appears darker when light hits it from the side. These pieces are becoming very difficult to find these days and would make a wonderful addition to any Coro collection. The clasp works great & the gold-tone on the metal is problem free.
