For her age she is in excellent condition. She is free of chips, crazing, cracks etc. She has a cloth body which has a couple of mends on her. Other than this perfect. The very interesting part is the letter which explains in detail whom owned her, the little 7 year girl had a name for her. Her little sister owned a doll similar to this one, its all in the letter. One very interesting part is where May the little 7 year old was born in 1870 later in years writes this letter. She was 7 years old when she received this doll. Today this doll is over 138 years old. Her head has the typical flat head with the part down the center, with wavy side curls rows of ringlets, with the comb marks and a high forehead. Greiner style 1850, she has the flat top style and maybe Adelina Patti style, Kestner. The doll is a glazed doll which was in the peak between 1840-1890. She was given to May in 1877. She is 23" tall. I will send along the clothing made for her, I'm sure the pantaloons x 2 two slips, two under shirts are original to her. There is a dress, two skirts, two pairs of leggings, all hand stitched and I mean not one hand stitched seam was left out. The dress she wears now is lite blue with eyelet designs and in need of a wash, with a full slip of blue silk. The three page letter will come with the doll, I pack my items for safe shipping. She is a stuffed tight and she is a heavy doll. Request the pictures of the extra clothing. If you need more pictures let me know.
