Columbia Medallion Studios founded in 1888, from Chicago. They call them Medallions and keep sakes, they would copy a photo of the customers choice and place it on a non corrosive metal, the surface was then glazed, thus they became works of art and forever keepsakes. The offered different metal frames, and with an up grade they would hand tint the photos as well.
The also called the framed photos Imperishable collections. The cover of the picture is made of celluloid.
The frame is a pewter barley twist. Can be hung or has a stand in back to sit. Measures 6". I believe if you wanted you could place your own photo over the one here.
Circa 1910. It has the logo embossed in back in a circle which dates the picture frame.
