About Wedgwood:
Wedgwood Pottery is a 200-year-old company which contributed much to the ceramics world in Britain and around the World, partnering with artists over the years to design sets and patterns. Wedgwood was founded in 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood after his development of a popular green glaze. In 1765 Wedgwood created a new variety of creamware and stoneware which became known as Wedgwood Queensware. Name so after Josiah produced Queen Charlotte a tea set which she loved. Wedgwood has a complex system for stamping and dating their pottery. This piece is dated to 1965.
