Fernando Torm was born in 1944 and is originally from Santiago, Chile. It is known that during the 1970's and '80's, and perhaps even earlier, Torm was living and working in New York City. There is not much other biographical data available, at least online, about this great artist other than the fact that he specialized in woodcuts and embossed color prints and that he is well-known for his botanical studies. He was also a member of the alternative art space 112 Workshop in New York, alongside Louise Bourgeois, Charlemagne Palestine, and Vito Acconci, among others. This could be a wonderful find for a collector or one who is familiar with his work. Today his work can be found in numerous museums and collections around the globe, both public and private. The central focal point of this fine piece, nature is depicted by artist Fernando Torm in the most beautiful and artistically creative way possible. This piece is Torm at his finest. Do not miss out on the feminine sophistication that is featured in this fine work of art!
