This vintage set of 3 Kraft American Cheese 2 lb. wooden boxes were a great find at a North Texas Estate sale. These boxes have a myriad of uses. They would be great for holding your mail, in your pantry as spice boxes, a general storage boxes, holding kitchen utensils, craft items, or putting on your window sill and filling with pots of herbs or plants. Because of its printing you can tell the boxes were made in the 1940's.
The long sides of the boxes are printed in blue "Kraft Pasteurized Process Cheese American" inside a shield that has a banner going across the box. These sides are also printed 2 lbs. net and Kraft Cheese Company Manufacturer Chicago Illinois. On the ends it has a large K inside a shield and Kraft American Process Cheese printed in blue.
The dimension of the boxes are 9" long and 2 1/2"" tall on the long sides. The ends are 2 7/8" wide and 2 1/2" tall. The boxes are in very good vintage condition with good clear print on the boxes, no cracks or splits in the boxes and has a lovely vintage patina.
Please visit all of the pictures provided as I use them for part of the description. Overall they are great little boxes with lettering that is still very legible.
