This cool vintage seltzer bottle by Sparklets Corporation, New York, is a "D" seltzer bottle. The glass bottle covered in wire mesh with a flat base. The glass bottle was made in Czechoslovakia, and has a made in Czechoslovakia signature on the base along with the number 105. This seltzer water bottle was produced by Sparklets and would have been used in bars, clubs, or the best home bars to pour carbonated water for mixed drinks, using gas bulbs to carbonate.
With attractive chrome fittings and with pewter mesh detailing that encases a thick and heavy glass bottle, this bruiser of a soda syphon is still extremely attractive today. The red band around the middle of the syphon is still clear but faded and is in nice condition.
The chrome fittings that are stamped Sparklets Reg. U.S. Pat Off., also have a Sparklets logo on the stem that reads Sparklets New York Corporation and 5 D6 stamped into the stem. The charger port which has a safety chain reads, use one bulb only, and pulls on and off. The gas bulbs can also be purchased online if you want to replicate the original intent of the design, although we do not know if this soda syphon is still in working order as the lid is screwed very tightly shut. However, it is complete with its original glass straw.
The condition of the bottle itself is very good, the chrome fittings have some marks where a tool was used to get the top off. For a 90 year old bar appliance it would make a spectacular addition to your bar area. Please look at the pictures to get a complete idea of the condition of the spritzer bottle.
