These eight juice/wine glasses are citron green and from the Franciscan Madeira pattern by Tiffin. Tiffin was a part of US Glass Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The company went bankrupt in 1963 and Tiffin employees purchased it and production continued until 1966. It was then purchased by Continental Can Company and in 1969 it was again sold to Interpace which then closed in 1980. This line was produced between 1971-1978 and is now discontinued.
The juice/wine glass is 4 7/8" in height, 2 3/8" at the rim and is 2 1/4" at the base. These hold approximately 6 ounces. The glasses are heavy. There is a chain like design at the base of the bowl, with a textured stem and base. These would be a nice addition to the Madeira line of earthenware china by Franciscan Ware of California.
