This vintage Mar-Crest Stoneware 1950's mixing bowl is a beautiful reminder of the days when grocery stores, gas stations, and movie theaters had promotions. You were actually given something for patronizing their businesses. Mar-Crest was manufactured by the Western Stoneware Co. in the mid to late 1950’s for Marshall Burns, Division of Technicolor, and a distributor in Chicago, IL.
Stoneware by Mar-Crest is easily recognizable by the beautiful warm Colorado Brown glaze and the Daisy & Dot pattern. The marking on the bottom is the ribbon Mar-Crest Oven Proof Stoneware. This bowl is in good vintage condition with a tiny nick from usage inside the bowl at the bottom. The bowl is 8" in diameter, 4 1/8" tall, and has a 4" diameter base.
