This 1950's Foley's aluminum juicer/reamer was manufactured in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Before WWII, Foley was a successful cookware manufacturer. Its signature product, the Foley Food Mill, was an early hand cranked version of a modern food processor. After Pearl Harbor, Foley joined many US companies in turning over its production to wartime use and it selected to produce canteens and mess kits rather than kitchen components. In 1951, Lucille Barbery received patent #161609 for the new, original, and ornamental Design for a juicer.
This Foley juicer is a great kitchen utensil for that summertime fresh squeezed lemonade. It measures 8.25" in length and 3 7/8" in diameter at the reamer end. It is marked Foley on the tab on the reamer. The juicer is in good vintage condition with no dents and only minor scratches on the handle and some discoloration on the underside of the juicer from normal age and use.
