This box was manufactured in the Tunbridge area of Kent in the days before their workshops became noted for their iconic wooden micro-mosaic constructions. Tunbridge painted wares were current during C18th continuing to mid-C19th. Hand painted geometric and floral designs, buildings, and landscapes were featured. This box was a later piece from circa 1840. It measures 3 1/2" by 2" and is 1 3/4" high. Both the workmanship and condition of this sycamore example are first class. Worldwide insured air shipping is included in the listed price. Nothing else to pay.
