This item is a very, very rare ROYAL DOULTON LAMP - A LADY OF THE GEORGIAN PERIOD - HN 41. This is a scarce piece and we are using various research materials to properly identify it. The figure is firmly mounted on a Dore' bronze base which was factory mounted and we are frankly terrified at the prospect of trying to pry her loose in order to read the back stamp(s). Everything we find, indicates that she is HN41 which was issued from 1914 to 1936. The designer is E. W. Light. The lady figure is 10 1/4" tall. She is in excellent condition except for some very minor crazing on one of her sleeves. The lamp works. The silk shade is original and has some minor issues including one missing stave and a few very minor holes in the lace. It is obviously fragile but still serviceable. It also has its original Dore' bronze finial.
