This is a FRENCH CHAMPAGNE BOTTLE SHAPED BRASS CORKSCREW with BOTTLE OPENER. This one has always mystified me to some extent. It is a corkscrew marked "champagne" and is shaped like a champagne bottle but it is a corkscrew. You don't open a champagne bottle with a corkscrew. Never-the-less, it is a handsome item and works very effectively. The worm is good and sharp. The top of the handle doubles as a bottle opener. The top is marked "BREV."
