This 18thC English Delft plate would have been made about 1750 and possibly in London or Bristol. It is difficult to distinguish between English and Dutch delft plates but this is believed to be English, and certainly from the 18thC. It is in very good condition for its age with no cracks or chips. There is obvious glaze loss to the rim which only adds to the 'antique' feel of the piece. It measures 9 inches across and the rim is quite pronounced making it almost like a flat soup bowl. A charming and authentic piece of English history.
