This charming antique English salt glaze teapot would have been used on a breakfast tray in Victorian England. It is small and would only hold one cup of tea. It was probably made in the second half of the 19thC when the Aesthetic Movement of William Morris was becoming more popular than the fussiness of the Victorian taste. It is a beautiful shade of gray/green and is in excellent condition. There was a small flake missing at the top of the spout that was professionally restored, and beautifully done. The diameter of the pot is 3 inches and its total height including the finial is 3 34 inches. For a collector of teapots, or English salt glaze, this piece would be a welcome addition.
