This antique toleware or tin coffee pot might also have been used for hot cocoa with its handle to the side. Some of the features of this piece include a stovepipe pouring spout, a polished hardwood handle, a pewter finial and a classic tapered form. The craftsman that made this pot in the 19th C was very accomplished at his craft. The attention to detail and the construction are exceptional. It measures 11.5 inches to the top of the finial and has a maximum width of 10 inches. It is water tight and could still be used in a variety of ways...coffee, plants, etc.
