1949 Ad - LIFE SAVERS ~ Archery Target Motif

This is a genuine original magazine advertisement from a 1949 issue of The Saturday Evening Post.

This full-colour, vintage LifeSavers 5¢ candy ad features an archery theme with the various flavours of "the candy with the hole" forming the rings of a target. The "Five Flavor Hits" of Lime, Lemon, Orange, Pineapple and Wild Cherry each have an arrow striking them on the target - including a Cherry bulls-eye! Vintage Life-Savers ads have a very graphic appeal with minimal ad copy and strong visuals.

Many vintage ads can act as "time capsules", reflecting the styles and sensibilities of a particular era.

This LARGE 1940s advert measures 10 1/4" x 13 3/4" (approx.). The image of this piece of advertising memorabilia / ephemera has been accommodated completely by a large-format scanner. This Forties print ad is in excellent condition and is eminently suitable for framing.

Canada/USA Postage & Packing is $6.00 Surface rate and $8.00 for Air Mail (Elsewhere to be determined). Multiple items purchased from SHARP OBJECTS may be combined for shipping purposes.
