Vintage VALENTINE - 'Bobbed-Hair Pair' - Whitney Made c.1920s
# SOLD - THANK YOU, DIANE! #
This attractive, embossed valentine card features a full-colour inset illustration of a boy and girl (each with a bob haircut) sitting on a garden bench, surrounded by heart-shaped flowers.
This sweet, die-cut Whitney-Made folding card has the following verse inside:
"Roses are red, violets are blue, But they're not half as bright as you. You'll find this valentine addressed To the one I like the best."
It is inscribed "To Dorothy From Florence".
This old, valentine card measures 3 1/4" x 4 3/8" (approx.). It is of glossy, light card stock with strong, vibrant colours. It is in good condition with a modicum of the attendant signs of age and wear. This charming piece of early 1900s-era ephemera / St Valentine's Day-related memorabilia is eminently suitable for displaying. It should appeal to vintage valentines collectors.
