These are genuine original magazine advertisements from a 1948 issue of The Saturday Evening Post.
This full-colour, dated Diamond T Trucks ad features a 614 model refrigerated tractor-trailer in the livery of the Cudahy Packing Co. - Puritan brand hams, bacon, lard, beef & lamb (After All "The Taste Tells"). At this point, Cudahy had been operating Diamond T's for more than twenty-five years, and had over 100 in their fleet of transport and delivery trucks - "...without losing a single pound of meat by spoiling."
Or if one prefers, the reverse features an ad for Youngstown Kitchens by Mullins - "Tailored kitchens at ready-made prices". Pictured is a household scene of mother and daughter with a tray of party treats, while father, perched on a stool, enjoys his pipe and newspaper. All this takes place in a "beautifully efficient" kitchen equipped with "gleaming, steel Youngstown cabinets" and porcelain-enamel work tops. These types of steel/metal units are popular with many people restoring or renovating their mid-century houses.
This LARGE 1940s advert measures 10 1/2" x 13 3/4" (approx.). The image of this piece of advertising memorabilia / ephemera has been accommodated completely by a large-format scanner. This Forties print ad is in very good condition (w/ a soft, lengthwise crease) and is eminently suitable for framing.
