This beautiful drapery necklace is crafted in 18K solid gold. It is fully hallmarked. It features the most amazing craftsmanship techniques we have rarely seen in a necklace, even those dating to the Napoleonic area which is known for making fabulous pieces of jewelry.
Four scalloped drops -- two short and two longer ones--, adorned with an added cable link chain featuring a small, natural pearl appear to have been created for the sole purpose of emphasizing a lovely natural red paste.
Each scallop drops are formed with a stem upon which are strung perfectly chiseled small leaves. And as if this was not enough feast for the eyes, each festoon is separated by a vertical drop -- 3 in all -- also made out of leaves spouting from a stem. This is just an amazing design.
The elegance of this necklace is indisputable. Don't hesitate to zoom on the photos to see how the little pearls and the read paste beads add to the elaborate design. The chain itself features solid gold baguette links encapsulating a short twisted bar. The chain is equipped with two fully operative spring rings which allows the wearer of the incredible necklace to adjust the size to a desirable length.
This gorgeous necklace truly represents the essence of femininity.
There are no repairs or damage to the necklace. This superb French necklace is in wonderful condition and it is all original.
