Chalcedony is a natural mineral which belongs to the quartz family. It has a hardness high enough on Moh's scale ( 6 to 7) to make beautiful cabochon jewelry. It comes in a variety of colors. This natural green cabochon is of extremely high quality with a strong color saturation and high translucence.
The ring was crafted, back in the early part of the nineteenth century, in 18K solid gold and 800 silver. The setting and gallery is nicely chiseled and is adorned with many rose-cut diamonds. One of these is missing, but this doesn’t detract from its aesthetic impact. The nice thing about this period piece is that it is in very good condition, given its age, with no scratching on the gem.
The ring shank displays the stamps which guarantee its 18K solid gold and its silver content. You will love the beautiful iridescent green color of this ring which can be sized to fit your finger.
Any white or cloudy spots on the images are glare and/or photographic obstructions.
