This is a lovely cross over ring crafted during the Art Nouveau period and in 18K solid white and yellow gold. The white gold forms the base upon which the gems have been set -- 6 yellow gold prongs hold each of the two sapphires and approximately 20 split cut diamonds are bezel set on a graineti (millegrain) base of white gold. The sapphires are well saturated, have a good cut and are well matched. They measure approximately 3.5mm each for a total of approximately 0.40 cttw. The 20 natural diamonds, which enhance the sapphires, send myriad sparkles in all directions. No stones are missing.
This beautiful ring is also referred to as a Toi et Moi (You and Me) ring. With its delicate appearance, this ring is quintessentially feminine. It lays flat on the finger, and the length of the face of the ring is approximately 18mm.
