These gorgeous Japanese pearls are of the highest quality one can find. They measure approximately 7.5mm and boast high luster and excellent nacre. The craftsman was able to match them beautifully.
They are enhanced by 7 cornflower blue sapphires, prong set and also well matched, and measuring approximately 2.5mm, making a total of ~0.70ctw
The Edwardian period (which corresponds to the French Art Nouveau period) produced many bar pins such as the one featured here. But this one is particularly attractive with its gorgeous pearls contrasting with the blue color of the sapphires. It is crafted in 18K solid white gold which also adds to the aesthetic impact of this piece.
