Date: Uncertain, but could be from the 19th century.
Origin: Purchased at an estate auction in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The plate was most likely made in Europe, possibly Germany.
Size: Measures ~9" in diameter and ~1" high. The piece weighs almost one pound and 4 ounces. Maker:I. F. Steinhardt? Marks:Has three similar marks which show an angel with scales in one hand and a sword in the other, with writing above the angel saying "I. F. STEINHARDT".
Condition: This bowl or plate is in very good condition with no breaks, or repairs. It does have plenty of scratches, some of which are very pronounced. It also has some minor stains especially along the edge. The plate also has some extensive scratching along the edge of the back , which we show in the last photo. It has developed a nice warm gray patina with age and has a lot of character. We do believe that the plate would clean nicely, but we leave that to the discretion of the new owner. Please see photos for additional condition information.
