A rare set of beautiful 12” tall large hobnail vases in Blue Opaline Glass which will catch your eye as you walk into the room.
They look like something Fenton would make but I cannot determine positively pastel colors were produced by Fenton from 1954-1956. But I was unable to find a match to these in any of my reference books. May have been a test or end of day pieces. These are an eye catching pair with round hobnails some being larger then a dime. Appear to be pressed glass from the marking on bottom and top rim. Also may be called slag glass as you can see swirls of a light blue and straw marks in glass.
Condition: Excellent. Unmarked. No nicks, chips or cracks. But there is a dark ring on the seam on the rim of both. Please look closely at all pictures.
Note: The color in a couple pictures looks to be dark aqua which they are not. Both vases are a pastel blue opaline glass or baby blue.
Size 12” tall x 3 ½” at widest point of vase each weighs 1lb 10 oz
