Copper Lustre Pink Fisheye Shaving Mug by Sunderland mid 1800's English - image 1 of 9

Antique shaving mug with the signature Pink Fisheye band done by Sunderland potteries in the mid 1800's. Copper Lustre mug with a ring of beads under rim and a fancy handle.

Condition: Great. Shows normal wear for age scuffs and discoloration. A few little flea bites on rim. Crazing. No cracks or repairs. Please look closely at all pictures.

Measures: 3 1/4" t x 4 1/4" w (includes handle)

FYI: Many years ago when rooms were lit only by oil lamps and candles, people loved to have copper lustre items around them that shone and glowed in this soft light. Having lustre pottery and china on their shelves and mantle pieces reflected the light from the fire into dark corners and recesses.
