19th Century Salesman Sample Maple Mission Drop leaf Table
A magnificent mission style maple drop leaf table salesman’s sample that was used in a Bear collection dating back to the 1950’s. This is as heavy (2 lbs +) solid handmade piece. The 2 side Leaves drop down when the leaf stops are angled and swung into side flush. This really is a beautifully simple small table that I would love to have in my size!
The wood is maple but I do not know what kind so I will describe. The top grain has some tiger tail maple lines. The underside of table has grain that appears to be tiger maple waves. Please look at all pictures. Sides are attached with 4 Brass hinges with small screws.
Condition: Very Good. Has been used and loved. Underneath in corner there is a repair and the corner block is missing. Does not affect stability of table. Gently clean but may need some additional TLC upon arrival. Please look closely at all pictures.
Open measures 11 7/8”w x 11 ½”l x 6 ½” h
Closed measures 11 7/8”w x 6 ½” l x 6 ½”h
