Victorian Embossed Leather Photograph Album With 27 Photos Circa 1860's
Wonderful historical collection of 27 photos 1860's - 1890's from a prominent estate in New England.
Photos are tintypes, cartes de viste, cabinet cards that measure approx. 3" x 2" some are smaller.
This album is unusual because all 27 photos are of women.
The back of one of the photos reads:
John A. Heard 10 Tremont Row, Boston and it has a 2 cent stamp.
The back of another photo reads:
Churchill & Denison No. 522 Broadway, Albany, NY.
Album & Condition:
Good Antique Condition with normal wear from usage, handling, age spots, humidity spots, yellowing & dark spots.
A few of the photos are faded or slightly out of focus, lightly soiled.
Most Photos are in Good Antique Condition.
The leather embossed photo album closes with 2 brass clasps.
The pages are cardboard mats. Some of the mats are empty, a few are torn.
The album has split away from the binding as is normal for antique albums.
