This is a nice Pastel on Paper. It depicts a young woman wearing a traditional Indian turquoise necklace and Jewelry. Drawing is dated 1978. I am not familiar with this artist. This piece would look great in a Southwestern Home. It measures 23-1/2 inches long and 17-1/2 inches wide. In metal frame it measures 24-1/4 inches long and 18-1/4 inches wide. This was purchased in Colorado Springs. I see no water damage, tears or foxing. There is very minor paper ruffling on two edges which will flatten out with the addition of a retention clamp on the back.
Update from a Rubylane shopper:
(I have a friend that has K. EGBERT water color that was done by a woman in western Kansas that was commissioned of his grandmother from a childhood photo. The K on his looks the same as yours but his has the last name in capitals. This K. EGBERT had a piece in the Smithsonian of a cowboy named Chuck Hoskinson. Chuck was from Cimarron, KS. It might be possible that that is the artist in your piece. Trish)
