This set of four women was made by Alboth & Kaiser porcelain of West Germany in the 1980’s from the Gallery of Beauties. The women are Wilhelmine Sulzer, Antonie Wallinger Ott, Auguste Strobl Hilber and Wilhelmine Sulzer.
Ludwig I of Bavaria, Gallery of Beauties was a collection of 36 portraits of the most beautiful women from the nobility and middle classes of Munich, Germany, painted between 1827 and 1850. These coasters are in great condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Please note the white in pictures are reflections in camera and not damage to the plates. They measure 4 inches diameter. All have the blue AK maker’s mark on the back with number 445 in gold.
