This is a detailed etching of a helmet shell commonly found on a sea side beach. This is a sepia toned dry point etching. Signed, titled and dated in pencil at the bottom, 91/150, Helmet Shell, M Howe ’83’. The etching plate mark measures 3-3/8 inches wide and 5 inches tall. Printed on heavy art rag paper so it will not get foxing with age. The frame measures 9-1/2 inches wide and 11-1/2 inches tall. Frame looks nice. The artist bio is attached to the verso. Marsha attended the Syracuse University School of Art in Syracuse, New York on a full-tuition scholarship and graduated in 1968, earning a BFA in Printmaking and Painting.
