California Artist James Bunnell, Serigraph, Econolite Corp. Los Angeles 1956 Hand Painted Silk Screen Art Creation, Cowboys Watching Over the Herd. The Serigraph measures about 19 inches tall and 25 inches wide. The wood frame measures about 23 inches tall and 29 inches wide. All the colors are still very bright and I see no water damage or fading in the picture.
James Bunnell lived in Southern California and made many serigraph prints mostly of the surrounding areas from Mexico, China town in Los Angeles, from the beaches to exotic animals at the zoo. This picture looks like the east side of the San Gabriel mountains in California. His prints were made by the Econolite Corp. in Los Angeles where they were sometimes hand painted silk screens then hand pulled. This print was made in 1956.
