Chief Wooden Leg (1858–1940) was a Northern Cheyenne warrior who fought against Custer at the Battle of the Little Big Horn. This old etching is signed and titled at the bottom, ‘Chief Wooden Leg, Constance J Davis.’ This is in great condition with no tears, holes or water damage. The way the ink has slightly oxidized from age I would say this was made in the 1920’s-1930’s. Inside the mat the print measures 8” wide and 10-1/2” tall. In the 1980’s frame it measures 13-3/4” wide and 16” tall.
