Bill Mittag paints western and landscapes of the western states, however his favorite subjects are the Northern and Southern Plains Tribes. 'I like to paint the history of these people before the great western migration changed it forever'.
He is a member of the Western Artists of America and a Lifetime Artist Member of the Mountain Oyster Club. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree from New Mexico State University. He has attended workshops at the Scottsdale Artists School and painted with several members of the Cowboy Artists of America. His art has been in featured in magazines such as Southwest Art, Western Art Collector & American Artists.
