She was an accomplished artist and her love of the rugged coastlines of the northeast is apparent in her award-winning watercolors. After graduating from Boarding School she enrolled at McGill University in Montreal. A year later she transferred to Tufts University as a pre-med major. After retirement she took up painting. Her watercolors have been exhibited widely in Colorado. In 1998 one of her watercolors was chosen in the top 200 of the National Arts for the Parks competition out of 2600 entries. In 2002 another painting was among the top 100 in the National Arts for Parks competition, and was taken on a national tour all over the United States for a year. One of her earlier paintings, which she called, ‘Spring Thaw,’ is displayed above the fireplace in the main floor library at Frasier Meadows Center, Boulder, CO. She was a member of artists associations in Boulder (BAA), Longmont (LAG), and Louisville (LAA), as well as the Colorado Watercolor Society (CWS). She died in Boulder November 9, 2013.
