A mother and son are returning from a hike to the local village. They are crossing a small bridge while their prize cow watches. This is an oil painting on stretched canvas painted in the 1970’s. It is unsigned but their is a name written on the back stretcher bar but, I do not know if it was the artist, Vern Honeycutt. The painting has no scratches or restorations. I do see a small spot where something pressed against the canvas just starting to push through. Fortunately it did not remove any paint on the left arm of the boy. You can see the mark on verso of canvas but not from the front. Other then that this is a very nice oil painting. The painting measures about 22 inches tall and 28 inches wide. The solid wood frame looks great. The frame measures 28-1/2 inches tall and 34 inches wide.
