This is a nice antique folk art frame made February 11, 1905 by Catherine. It looks to have been pieced together with some old pieces of a box crate. The artist used a hot iron to burn the floral designs into the front of the frame. I do not see any cracks or excessive abuse to the wood. It has the normal wear commensurate with its age. The inside of the frame measures 12 inches wide and 18 inches tall. The outside of the frame measures 17-1/4 inches wide and 23-3/4 inches tall. This is signed and dated on the verso. It looks like it will take a picture that is 20 inches tall and up to 17 inches wide.
