I have seen this beautiful ladies portrait in a Journal. I cannot remember the Journal but she was on the cover. This piece was painted after WWll. Please Note: Sometime recently someone put a varnish on it. You can only notice from an angle and if you touch the plate. I am pointing it out in my description because it is a little uneven. Please refer to last photo and consider this before you purchase. This piece is signed by the artist, E Behm. The porcelain plate has no chips or cracks. There is a small hair line crack on the gold frame in the 7 o’clock location. I took a close up picture of it. This does not take from this pieces beauty. The old frame measures 12 1/2 inches diameter. Frame has light wear around edges commensurate with its age.
