A man stands watching fishermen along the coast fishing in the island channel. This is a 1940’s -1950’s souvenir watercolor painting brought back from WWII from Japan. Signed by the artist with a signature stamp lower right. I see no holes, tears or restorations on the painting. The paper looks like it had gotten damp as there is a very faint watermarks on the paper from before it was painted. The watercolor looks to have been painted on top of this. I do not see any water damage on the verso of the painting. The painting measures about 9-1/2 inches tall and 12-3/4 inches wide. The original frame looks alright but does have some nicks around the edges. Frame measures 11 inches tall and 14-1/4 inches wide. The original back paper has torn around the edges so if you would like new back paper please let me know and I will have it changed free of charge.
