He retired in the early 1960’s around Cedar Creek Lake area and was dedicated to his love of oil painting. Being retired he traveled the USA painting different scenes from around the country in a fauvism painting style. Then he had a massive stroke and he lost his ability to paint, However, this did not stop him from his love of art. He regained use of his left arm and hand and began to use a pen to pen pointillism pictures. The pointillism paintings would take him many days to accomplish each picture. (From a Corsicana Daily Sun Article.) Speaking to the town people they absolutely loved him and admired his work. He was friendly and well known in his community. His family after time put part of his collection up for sale. I was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time. I wish I could have bought every piece. I have several pieces from his collection listed. Oil paintings before his Stroke and pen and mixed media pointillisms.
