First, This piece looks even greater in real life. Titled, Cathedral Dusk, this oil painting on canvas board shows an old city church in the early evening. I do not see any scratches or holes. There is a thin gray line around the edge of the painting from the artist. It is signed in the lower right, Vivian Rich. It is also titled and signed on the verso. The 1960’s painting measures 22 inches wide and 28 inches tall. The frame measures 29-1/4 inches wide and 35-1/2 inches tall. Frame has a gold trim with a dark brown and black barn wood look with old scuffs and scrapes to give it a well used look. Looks nice with this painting. If you would like a new back paper please let me know and I will have it put on free of charge. Vivian was born Sept. 10, 1918, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Harvey V. Lester and Madeline H. Schneider Lester. She owned and operated a beauty salon before her retirement, but she will be remembered most for her artwork. She was a member of the Pueblo Art Guild, the Associated Women Artists and participated in one-man art shows both locally and nationally.
