This is a pair of watercolor paintings by an old master watercolor artist. The old man is framed and looks great with no tears, water damage or foxing. The lady is unframed and does have spots of foxing. The lady painting does not have any tears, water damage or holes. Both paintings inside the oval mat measure 9 inches wide and 11 inches tall. The one gold contemporary frame measures 15-3/4 inches wide and 18-3/4 inches tall. The lady painting is signed to right of shoulder. I do not see a signature on the man but I would have to guess it could be covered by the mat. These are from the same artist per a note on the back of the woman. From the look of the paintings and old mats they were painted in the early to mid 1800’s.
