This is a very Shabby Chic Watercolor painting. No tears, foxing or stains. Signed on the lower right G. Dickson. It depicts a Victorian lady holding a little smiling baby at night. There is a light blue cast shadow on her face as if a window is displaying moonlight on her. Painted in the 1920’s. The frame shows wear with age. It appears like it was buffed in a newer gold paint. Under the gold are some dents that are commensurate with the frames age. I am not familiar with the artist. The watercolor measures 12 inches long and 6 inches wide. In the wood frame it measures 13-1/2 inches tall and 7 inches wide. This old painting would make a lovely gift. If you would like new paper backing. Please let me know and I will have it added at no extra cost.
