This plate is in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There are a few micro dots of paint loss and a paint line down the top of fish. Please refer to photos. The fish is a transfer with a hand painted gold rim. It measures a little over 8-1/2" inches in diameter. Since they are hand thrown they very slightly in size. There is wear on the gold edges. CT Germany was first part of a mark used by a company in Altwasser, Germany (now part of Walbrzych, Poland), in 1845. The mark was used by Carl Tielsch. The Hutschenreuther firm took over the company in 1918 and continued to use the CT. CT Germany was used by the Hutschenreuther firm even after the Altwasser factory.
