This old watercolor is of a beautiful little girl with sad eyes holding a bowl out to receive some food. Unfortunately, this is unsigned. There are no scratches, tears or foxing. I do see a waviness to the paper and 2 light water stains. This was painted mid 1800’s. The back paper looks new. Inside the golden mat the painting measures 9-1/2 inches wide and 14-3/4 inches tall. The wood frame has a little separation and some missing wood wear at the corners. The frame measures 15-1/2 inches wide and 21 inches tall. A new hanging wire was put on as the old one was unsafe. Please refer to all photos of this antique watercolor. This was purchased in Durango, Colorado.
