A beautiful woman is sitting by a Cherry Blossom tree. She is wearing a victorian pink dress and hat with a large bow. I do see two large spots of acid foxing and one tear about 3/4 of an inch in length at top edge. Signed lower left behind the frame, L Walker. The painting in the oval measures 11 inches wide and 19 inches tall. The original frame measures about 19-1/2 inches wide and 27-1/2 inches tall. On the verso it says this was restored by Dorothy George 1973. The frame looks to have been restored at that time too. The frame has a couple chips in the gesso that were covered with gold paint. Frame still looks great for its age. This beautiful painting is very Shabby Chic. The price reflects the imperfections. reasonable offers considered.
