Creative watercolor of a golden aspen grove with the majestic mountain peaks in the background. The brilliant pastel colors of the setting sky give this plein air painting a great contrast to the gold of the aspens. The watercolor painting is free floating with a double mat. I see no water damage, tears or restorations. The painting measures 8-1/2 inches wide and 9-1/2 inches tall. The original wood frame measures 22 inches wide and 26 inches tall. I see a couple scuffs around the edges of the frame but blend in well to the wood. Signed and titled in pencil at the bottom, “Coast 1990, Aspen Grove Series: Pikes Peak.” Sorry about the reflections in the pictures. It was difficult to get pictures without them.
