It is not too often one gets to be on a high altitude pass in the mountains but there is nothing else like it. The thin air, centuries old trees only 12 inches tall, wild flowers and green valleys. This is a Acrylic painting of a cowboy riding by wind blown bristlecone pine trees just below tree line where the air becomes too thin for the trees to grow to normal heights. Signed in the lower right, “K Rod.” I see a single slit in the canvas about 1/4 inch in length in the tree on the right. It is a clean tear so if I push the canvas flat it does disappear and can not be seen. Looks like something sharp pressed against the back of the painting. (see closeup picture of tree with the small white line is the puncture.) If you need more closeup pictures let me know and I will email them to you. I see no other scratches, tears or restorations. Painting measures 18 inches wide and 24 inches tall. The wood frame measures 21 inches wide and 27 inches tall.
